Hi, I'm Andy.

I've spent 18+ years building brands for Qantas, CommBank, GoDaddy and AMP, the award-winning, globally-recognised kind of work. But the projects I've found most satisfying are the ones where I'm helping a founder or small team being brave and hustling hard, and the thinking actually changes something for the person running the business.

Brandling is the practical expression of that: senior brand strategy, marketing, design and hands-on AI support, for businesses that deserve better than a template and a junior freelancer. I take on a small number of clients at a time, so you get my full attention, not an account manager.

I value honesty, efficiency and transparency. You'll get expert, trusted support, and if I'm not the right person for something, I'll tell you straight, and often point you to someone who is. Because time's the one thing none of us get back, and working with good people (and having some fun doing it) is the whole point.

Context

Darren shoots for serious clients, but his presence online didn't say so: a name and a showreel, with nothing tying them together or signalling the calibre of the work.

The brief

Build an identity and site that feel as cinematic and considered as the footage: premium, restrained, and unmistakably his, without becoming a maintenance burden.

What Brandling did

Shaped the positioning, designed the identity and guidelines, wrote the copy, then designed and built the site and a reusable pitch pack: the thinking and the making, end to end.

The approach

One signature device, a film-frame accent and a quiet ghost monogram, carried across every touchpoint, so the whole brand reads as one system rather than separate pieces.
